Height, Weight, and Wait Some More

It attests to the nuttiness of our experience at the medical assessment that we didn't get many photos. We were ushered from one station to another in a most disorderly way to achieve...something. Her ears were looked at so quickly, her palate barely glanced at, her heart listened to over clothes, I'm not sure they would have found something if it were blatantly obvious; but it is another hurdle crossed and more signatures completed.

Upon the return, one parent was to "do more paperwork" and the other to take care of the child. S lost it when her Baba disappeared into a different hotel. She thought she was being left again. She cried/screamed all the way back to our hotel room where, thankfully, we had peanut butter. We sat out on the patio and had a little mother/daughter time where she babbled on about something and pointed to the trees. She isn't saying much yet. Her Cantonese has been limited to guo=dog and maybe a few words we don't recognize and her English includes bye and Mama. I'm not too worried but would like to see her communicating with more than grunts and pointing. One day at a time!

She woke from her afternoon nap with barely a wimper, which was a great accomplishment. The rain took a break so we took an afternoon stroll which ended with dinner al fresco with another St Paul couple. S had the noodles, of course.

Tomorrow brings the zoo or a garden tour - we shall see the group consensus.

It looks like she's really starting to come out of her shell and get more comfortable with you guys. Such a blessing!
