I love this time when the spring lazily gives way to summer; the days are deliciously long and thank goodness, as the calendar has never been more full. I have finished planting for the season but as the Boston Ivy seeds have not developed into proper seedlings, I may be forced to go to the small city that is Gerten's and pick up actual plants to cover up our (unattractive) fence in a thick blanket of ivy that will turn glorious colors this autumn. But, for the most part, now is the time to sit back and watch (hope) for things to grow and trouble shoot when they don't, or begin to turn odd colors, or attract bugs.
